Entry for 's "Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday, Russia" contest.

RANDOM: The font used to type the Russian was actually a Korean font. I didn't even know my computer had Korean fonts prior to today XD

I'm decently proud of this picture. I thought it came out pretty darn well. The contest was to have all six Soviet characters doing something for Ivan on his birthday for Christmas. My thought was to give him the present of his wishes: A great big happy family in a meadow of Sunflowers. But in December, the weather's not the best. Russia constantly has to live in the cold. But just being with the ones he loves by a sunflower, with the warmth of friends rather than the warmth of the sun, his holiday should still be great.
I kinda just mixed the birthday and Christmas into one day and had them all lovely just for him. Mein gott did this picture get insane! I've been working on it forever it seems like. And I went crazy to get the "Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday, Ivan" written on there XD Now my computer has another language to fret over. враваипмувыаирфвиы арфлиуадлРИУВФРЦУЩКРГУФРЦАЖВФЖВАМИВАИМтыовытв ссч мвамавмхвжмыацкуку *sigh* But I'm not complaining. Languages are fun <3 Artistically speaking, I think this came out rather nice. I tried to vary the color a tad while still keeping a simple pallet. Also, I think the shading was pretty soft and went well with the theme I was aiming for.


Really, I'm just glad this is done XD I still need to do so many other things... *sigh* I finished my Secret Santa a bit ago, so now I'm dying trying not to post it now XD
I should work on my homework. Actually, it's done, I just need to put it together. It's a postcard thing and I'm gonna say I'm visiting Switzerland and I'm gonna have yodeling Swissy and Japan on the front XD I wonder what would have happened if I chose Austria and said I'm going to Fucking, Austria at 2:00...
